SandwichesShouldNeverTasteLikeCowCrap.jpegSandwiches Should NEVER Taste Like Cow Crap by Dave Lowe (published by Manta Press in 2008) is a tasty stew of stories from life on the Lowe Road.

Starting with strip searches at foreign customs, run-ins with tatami dragon ladies, rides aboard horny camels, shots fired by AK-47's, wheels breaking off taxis and more than a flightmare or two - Dave's travelogue poses a question: Are his size 13 shoes spreading mayhem and chaos with each step?

Only the Travel Gods know for sure.....

WHAT IS THE LOWE ROAD?

It's an inflight magazine about the quirky side of travel. It's for those who find themselves using their passports as though they were drivers licences, for those that sit in a movie theatre and reach for their seatbelt. It's for those who have woken up in a hotel room and not known where they are, and knowing full well the disoriention of extreme jetlag.

The Lowe Road is also about being a passport holder to the Nation of Nowhere and being a The Global Soul. It's for those who know what airline code SQ stands for, and know the airport codes for both airports in Tokyo.

It's for those who remember what Angkor Wat was like before it became a Disneyesque package tourist attraction, and know that Barra De Tijuaca beach has dethroned Ipanema as the beach in Rio. They also know what color taxis to avoid in Cairo, and what time of day to visit Nepenthe's restaurant in Big Sur to catch the sunset's best colors.

And lastly, its for the road itselfThe Lowe Road is for you.
