LAX's Theme Building to Re-Open
Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:30PM One of the world's most iconic airport structures is set to re-open after a $12 million dollar renovation and earthquake retrofit.
LAX's Theme Building has stood in the middle of the airport's terminal since 1961, and is a fantastic example of mid century design. So futuristic is the structure that it even inspired scenery in the popular Jetsons cartoon series.
Initially the structure will be open to the public from 8 to 5 weekends only from July 10th.
