Dave Lowe was born in New York City and has worked in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Argentina, the Maldives and Hong Kong. Work, adventure travel and scuba diving have taken him to more than seventy countries, and favourite places include Central Park New York, Ipanema Beach, Brazil, Harajuku, Tokyo, and anywhere at 30,000 feet high up in the blue sky.

Currently based in Southeast Asia, where he works in marketing and as a freelance writer, Dave is a certified Dive Master and is also the co-founder of zerobar.org that promotes dive operators who take steps to preserve the marine and social environmental in which they operate, and www.bluemovement.info a non profit foundation dedicated to marine conservation and community projects around the world.
